The Moods. The Present tense verb in Arabic has three moods. ================================================================
Indicative is the regular present tense verb.
**تـَسکـُنُ أختي في هذهِ الشقـَّةِ.**
My sisterlives in this apartment.
- Subjunctive is used when there is doubt, fear, hope, purpose, obligation, negated future, etc.
**لنْ تـَسکـُنَ أختي في هذهِ الشقـَّةِ.**
My sisterwill not live in this apartment.
- Jussive is used in negating the past tense with the particleلمْ
**لم تـَسکـُنْ أختي في هذهِ الشقـَّةِ.**
My sisterdid not live in this apartment.
