12.  Hajj or Jihad?

عَنِ الصَّادِقِ (ع) أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَا سَبِيلٌ مِنْ سَبِيلِ اللٌّهِ
أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الْحَجِّ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ يَخْرُجُ بِسَيْفِهِ فَيُجَاهِدُ
فِي سَبِيلِ اللٌّهِ حَتَّى يَسْتَشْهَدُ.

 It has been narrated from as-Sadiq [Imam Ja’far Ibn Muhammad] (peace be
upon him) who said, “There is no path from the paths of Allah which is
greater than Hajj, except when a person comes out with his sword and
strives in the way of Allah until he is martyred.”
