Deprivation and Frustration الحرمان والخيبة

  1. Deprivation is abandonment.

1ـ اَلحِرمانُ خِذْلانٌ.

  1. I wonder at the person who hopes for favour from the one who is above him, how can he deprive the one who is below him [of his own favour]?

2ـ عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ يَرْجُو فَضْلَ مَنْ فَوْقَهُ، كَيْفَ يَحْرُمُ مَنْ

دُونَهُ.

  1. The anguish of deprivation will not be calmed until acquisition is realized.

3ـ لَنْ تَسْكُنَ حُرْقَةُ الحِرْمانِ حَتّى يَتَحَقَّقَ الوِجْدانُ.

  1. Do not deprive the distressed even if he is extravagant.

4ـ لاتَحْرِمِ المُضْطَرَّ وإنْ أسْرَفَ.

  1. Do not frustrate the needy even if he insists [for more].

5ـ لاتُخَيِّبِ المُحْتاجَ وَإنْ ألْحَفَ.
